Context
As part of my Diploma of Graphic Design, I was tasked with developing a full brand identity for Mount Taylor Nature Reserve in Canberra. The challenge was to create a cohesive visual system that reflected the natural landscape while remaining functional across signage, print, and public-facing applications.
Insight
Nature reserves often lack strong, unified branding - leading to fragmented experiences across signage, wayfinding, and communication materials. There was an opportunity to create a system that not only reflected the environment, but also improved clarity, navigation, and recognition for visitors.
Approach
I developed a complete identity system designed for flexibility and consistency across multiple touchpoints. This included: - Logo variations adaptable across formats - A nature-inspired colour palette - A structured typography system - Comprehensive brand guidelines The system was designed to work seamlessly across both environmental and informational applications - from wayfinding signage to printed collateral - ensuring clarity without compromising on aesthetic integrity.

Outcome
The final identity was rolled out across stationery, signage, and official documentation, demonstrating a scalable and cohesive brand system. The result is a clear, nature-led visual language that strengthens community connection, improves navigation, and creates a more unified experience across the reserve.
